Effective April 1, 2020, GPSC fees were increased for 26 fee codes in the Physician Master Agreement. However, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the implementation and payment of these fee increases.
B.C. Family physicians can therefore expect to receive a retroactive payment from MSP this spring to cover the GPSC increases. The amount will be included as part of a regular MSP remittance under adjustment code 80. This retroactive payment is automatic and no action is necessary for doctors.
