In a continued effort to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Ontario, the Minister of Health has introduced a new temporary fee code for eligible assessment centres that would differentiate physician payment for after-hours, weekend hours and holidays.

The new code comes into effect March 21, 2020.

While these codes came into effect March 21, 2020, OHIP needs some time to set up system changes. As a result, the ministry requests you wait to submit claims for this code until further notice.

Important Note for Dr. Bill users: You can submit the temporary fee codes through our software. We’ll hold them in our system until OHIP gives the okay to submit them – which we will then do automatically for you.

Temporary OHIP Fee Code

H410: Per one hour period, or major part thereof on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays or Monday to Friday after-hours (5pm-7am).

$220.00

For more information on the changes please see the original bulletin from OHIP.

During this time, we’ll have extended support hours so if you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to get in touch.
